Getting a new web hosting account is easy. but choosing a reliable hosting company may be a little more difficult. after all, you don’t have any background knowledge of most of these companies. so how do you proceed to evaluate them? Many reviews on the Internet are written by reviewers who have not actually used the service before. You can easily tell by the way the reviews are written. There is no depth, and very little content.

Professional reviewers always make it a point to use the services first, and then post reviews. they are in a better position to say what they like or dislike about the service. if they experience excellent services, they will talk about it. if they encounter poor level of service, they can also alert others about their personal experiences.

2) Honest reviews are posted.

Reviews must always be truthful. Otherwise, they are useless as they cannot be trusted. How do you know if the reviews are truthful or not? There will be tell-tale signs. for instance, if all the reviews are positive, then something must be wrong somewhere. You can also visit hosting forums to find out what others are saying about a particular hosting company. if lots of complains come up for that particular company, and yet you are seeing great reviews from a review site, then you better be more wary. Such reviews cannot be trusted.

3) Reviews should include both the pros and the cons.

Reviews must always be fair. no hosting service is perfect. When someone uses a hosting service, he or she will be able to tell what is good (or bad) about the service. Such comments should then be included in the reviews.

Of course, there will always be a few companies that stand out at any time. These are probably the best companies in the industry. they come highly recommended everywhere – on review sites, on authority sites, on blogs, in forums, etc. In other words, reviews must always remain unbiased.

Good review sites always rank hosting companies based on several factors. These are factors that will influence your buying decision. for instance, reliability and speed will be at the top of your list. other factors include support response time, price, and hard disk space.

To find out whether reviews are unbiased (or not), you can test things out yourself. A review may say something nice about a company’s support. if so, try sending a couple of pre-sales email to see if the company is able to respond in a timely and professional manner. You will then be able to tell whether the reviews are truly unbiased or not.

DU To Host 2012 Presidential Debate

DENVER (AP) – It’s not cheap playing host for a national political spectacle like a presidential debate.

The University of Denver will pay $1.65 million for the honor of hosting the first presidential debate next year. University officials said Monday the fee by the Commission on Presidential Debates is well worth the expense.

“It’s going to generate tremendous visibility,” said DU Chancellor Robert Coombe. He said students would get first dibs on any seats given to the school, providing a breathtaking learning event for the school.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock joined DU officials for the announcement Monday afternoon and said the city would help with any additional expenses for hosting such a crucial event.

“I think it is something very monumental,” Hancock said, wearing a white DENVER baseball cap.

The debate Oct. 3 will be at the Magness Arena, which can seat up to 8,000 people. School officials said they don’t know yet the debate setup and how many seats will be available. The school gets an allotment and said first priority will be DU students.

Hancock said next year’s debate will be first presidential debate in Colorado history. He pointed out that in 2008, Denver successfully played host for the Democratic National Convention.

Hancock didn’t have an immediate economic impact estimate. but he said he expected some 3,000 journalists alone would travel to Denver for the debate.

“We’ve always believed that we were a world-class city. I think we proved it to the world in August of 2008,” Hancock said, referring to the convention.

The other debates between President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger will take place Oct. 16 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., and Oct. 22 at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla.

The vice presidential debate is set for Oct. 11 at Centre College in Danville, Ky.
